Valve connectors with rail approval
The bus- and rail industry set high demands on the safety of the components installed in their vehicles. ESCHA is the first manufacturer offering pre-assembled and overmolded valve connectors generally meeting these demands. Therefore, the standards DIN EN 45545-2 (fire performance) and DIN EN 50155 (shock, vibration and mechanical stresses) – which are important for the railway sector – were the focus of product development. As a standard, the housing styles A, B, BI, C and CI are equipped with a threaded grip body for protective hoses. Thanks to variants with LED status display as well as protective circuit, we directly offer a comprehensive product portfolio.
ET connectors
We have developed a compact product range for the agricultural sector and commercial vehicle industry. We do not fall back on field-wireable components, but offer a one-shot solution developed by ESCHA. In combination with the exclusive PUR-cable called «S370» our ET connectors become real all-rounders. Next to single-ended- and double-ended cord sets, B-side modifications are possible.
Single Pair Ethernet
Single Pair Ethernet (SPE) is a technology enabling the transmission of different Ethernet standards over a cable with only one pair of copper wires. So far, two or four pairs of wires were needed. Thanks to this new technology a comparably cost-effective and weight-saving infrastructure solution for IIoT- and Industry 4.0 applications is going to emerge in the near future. As a member of SPE Industrial Partner Network, ESCHA and others promote this solution.
The Profinet communication standard
Machine- and plant communication is more and more implemented with Ethernet protocols. The Profinet communication standard plays an important role in this. While data bandwidth is getting bigger, interfaces should become smaller at the same time. ESCHA developed compact connectors in M8 housing style for four-wire Profinet applications to meet this trend. M8-connectors for Profinet dispose of a reliable 360° shielding and facilitate a safe data transmission according to Cat5e.
Data- and power supply via EtherCAT P
EtherCAT P is an extension of the EtherCAT-technology facilitating the use of the compact M8-interface not only for data transmission but also for power supply leading to a cost-effective and compact wiring as well as low system budget. The recently developed P-coding averts accidental connection of standard-EtherCAT-slaves. All EtherCAT-P-components from ESCHA dispose of a 360° shielding. They are adapted for a power transmission up to 4A at concurrent Fast-Ethernet-transmission up to 100Mbit/s.
M12-connectors with plastic locking nuts
Our new M12-connectors with plastic locking nuts are a cost effective, but by no means cheap alternative to stainless steel. Due to high-quality plastics, they are perfectly suitable for demanding applications in utility vehicle area or agriculture. The plastic locking nuts developed by ESCHA are available in four different colors and help to easily mark slots and enhance clarity in the application.
Plastic locking nut in Hygienic Design
Due to the high demands in the food- and beverage industry, we have developed a special plastic locking nut in so called ‘Hygienic Design’. This prevents the formation of dirt pockets and is suitable for the product contact zone. ESCHA uses special plastic materials for the locking nut, the grip body, and the TPE-cable to guarantee high resistance to Ecolab-detergents.
EtherCAT with yellow cable-quality
The demand for EtherCAT-connectors with yellow cable quality is continuously rising. A cable with yellow outer-jacket has become mandatory in many EtherCAT-applications – especially in the automotive industry. The new S1329-cable from ESCHA is a flexible and drag-chain-capable cable withstanding more than 5 million bending cycles. It is available with M8- (four pins), M12- (four pins, D-coded), and RJ45-connectors.
Multi-pole M8-connectivity
Sensors are becoming more compact and more complex; therefore the have to deliver more information, too. This results in a growing demand for simultaneously compact and multipole connectivity. Our new M8 product range with 8 pins offers a high signal density for miniaturized sensors. You can choose from overmolded connectors, receptacles and two cable qualities (PUR S370 / PVC P00). At the beginning of the fourth quarter 2021, shielded versions will follow.
PVC-cable for Industrial Ethernet
As of now, ESCHA offers just the right cable-quality for all industrial applications with low mechanical demands towards Industrial-Ethernet-connectivity. Our new S5200-cable is PNO-compliant and particularly suitable for applications with low demands towards drag-chain- and torsion resistance. Right from the market launch, you will get a comprehensive product portfolio with M8-, M12-, and RJ45-connectors.
Compact and field-wireable
Field-wireable connectors can be used wherever a high degree of flexibility is required. Initially unknown cable-lengths or panel-feed-throughs are perfect examples. ESCHA offers the most compact field-wireable M12-connectors with crimp-contacts. The 4-pole connectors with A-coding (sensor/actuator) or D-coding are a little bit taller than 40mm. Thanks to their low weight and compact housing-style, they are the perfect solution for applications with minimum installation space.
