Receptacles with Push-Pull Locking Mechanism
With the M12 Push-Pull receptacles, ESCHA is expanding its portfolio of device interfaces for industrial applications. The new connectors are designed for use in factory automation, mechanical engineering, intralogistics, and railway technology, and offer a quick, tool-free connection method combined with a robust locking mechanism.
Faster and more secure locking with audible and tactile feedback
The M12 push-pull receptacles enable a quick and intuitive connection without any screws. The connector is simply inserted and locks automatically, making it up to 80% faster to install than a screw connection. An audible and tactile feedback confirms that the connection has locked securely. The locking mechanism also ensures a stable and reliable connection - even in industrial environments subject to vibration and shock.
Improved Efficiency and Quality
Push-pull technology significantly reduces assembly times and noticeably simplifies installation processes. The tool-free connection minimizes potential assembly errors and ensures consistent connection results. This allows both production workflows and maintenance and service processes to be organized more efficiently.
Backward Compatibility
The M12 push-pull receptacles comply with relevant international connector standards such as DIN EN IEC 61076-2-010. Thanks to their backward compatibility, the push-pull receptacles allow users to continue using screw connections on the opposite side due to the integrated thread. This ensures compatibility with existing coding systems and mating connectors, facilitating integration into existing systems and device architectures.
Wide Range of Variants
The product portfolio includes receptacles with inner locking and outer locking mechanisms (PPI and PPO) in both male and female configurations. At launch, they are available in the A, D, and X coding, covering applications for signal, fieldbus, and Ethernet communication. Various connection options, such as PCB contacts, stranded wire connections, or overmolded cable, as well as options for front- or rear-panel mounting, enable flexible adaptation to different device and system designs.
The ESCHA Difference
The receptacles are designed for use in demanding industrial environments and support protection ratings up to IP68. As part of the product qualification process, tests are conducted on mechanical service life, locking and extraction forces, as well as vibration, shock, and corrosion resistance. This makes the solutions suitable for demanding applications, such as in mechanical engineering, intralogistics, or in railway technology. In addition, products from the ESCHA standard portfolio and custom modifications and specific customer requi rements can be realized using push-pull technology.
Conclusion
With the M12 push-pull receptacles, ESCHA is expanding its portfolio to include a modern device interface for industrial applications. The combination of a quick push-pull connection, high durability, compliance with industry standards, and a wide range of variants enables flexible integration into various device and installation concepts while also supporting efficient assembly and service processes.
