25 years at ESCHA - Congratulations, Dietrich Turck
On January 1, 2000, Dietrich Turck took over the management of the former ESCHA Bauelemente GmbH. At that time, ESCHA had around 200 employees and a turnover of less than DM 20 million with M8/M12 standard connectors and short-stroke pushbuttons for traffic technology.
The company had barely established itself when the global economy was plunged into economic crisis following the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. The small company survived the crisis and developed into a successful niche supplier of customer-specific industrial circular connectors in the years that followed.
However, the next serious economic crisis came in 2008/09. Despite the difficult years, ESCHA emerged stronger in the end. A broad portfolio of technologically sophisticated data connectors, customer-specific developments, and absolutely flexible logistics for customer-specific cable harnesses led to above-average growth in the following years.
In 2014, a Chinese subsidiary was founded in Shanghai, which has made a very successful contribution to the company's success. In 2017, a large new production and logistics center was put into operation and was already too small again shortly after the move.
After these strenuous years of growth, ESCHA, like many companies in the industry, is now struggling with economic stagnation in Germany.
But with 25 years of experience as Managing Director, a strong, smart and reliable team of managers and employees, innovative ideas, future-proof products, courage and vision, Dietrich Turck is looking to the coming years with confidence.
