Driven by innovation, strong partnerships, and the commitment of our employees, we are actively shaping a sustainable future. Our goals are clearly defined: we aim for climate neutrality, a responsible use of resources, and the creation of a transparent and socially just supply chain.
We understand that this path requires consistent responsibility. Therefore, we work every day to ensure that our corporate footprint is a sign of true progress.
Our Direction
At the core of our direction is a simple yet powerful idea: We create connections. Not just technologically between machines and systems, but also human connections—between us, our customers, and our partners worldwide.
Our actions are guided by the ambition to develop solutions that not only function flawlessly today but also last tomorrow and the day after. Quality, foresight, and reliability are therefore not optional characteristics but are at the heart of our DNA. On this basis, we take responsibility and actively shape the technological future.
Reaching Climate Neutrality
We aim to reduce our own CO₂ footprint step-by-step and measurably, with the long-term goal of operating climate neutrally.
Promoting Resource Conservation
We continuously optimize our processes to use raw materials more efficiently and minimize waste.
Designing a Sustainable Supply Chain
We work closely with our partners to ensure and continuously improve environmental and social standards throughout the entire supply chain.
Creating Transparency
We disclose our progress and challenges by regularly publishing sustainability reports and using clear key performance indicators.
Leveraging Innovation for Sustainability
We make targeted investments in research, development, and technologies that contribute to a more sustainable future.
Involving Employees
We promote a sustainable mindset within our company through training, participation, and concrete initiatives.
Strengthening Partnerships
We engage in networks and initiatives that support the exchange and implementation of sustainable solutions.
Sustainability Targets
For us, sustainability is more than an obligation—it is an integral part of our corporate strategy and our daily actions. From our corporate responsibility and strategic direction, we derive clear and measurable goals for a sustainable future.
CO₂ Emissions
We are continuously working to reduce our CO₂ emissions to achieve climate neutrality.
UN Global Compact
We plan to join the UN Global Compact (German Network) by the end of 2025.
Corporate Carbon Footprint
We have calculated our Corporate Carbon Footprint (CCF) for the first time to establish ongoing annual reporting.
Product Carbon Footprint
We are working on calculating the Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) to achieve data availability for every product by the end of 2025.
Overview of Measures
To achieve our sustainability goals, we rely on concrete measures in the following strategic areas of action:
Switching Energy Supply
We consistently evaluate and implement alternatives to fossil fuels. The focus is on expanding photovoltaic and solar thermal energy, as well as examining the use of green hydrogen.
Increasing Energy Efficiency
We analyze our entire process chains to systematically identify and realize energy-saving potentials.
Promoting Sustainable Mobility
We reduce the environmental impact of our travel by proactive planning, raising awareness for environmentally friendly driving, and gradually converting our vehicle fleet to low-emission drive technologies.
Optimizing Logistics Processes
By intelligently bundling shipments and selecting optimized, environmentally friendly transport routes, we increase the efficiency of our entire supply chain—from incoming goods to shipping.
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
The United Nations' 2030 Agenda, with its 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), sets the global framework for sustainable social, economic, and ecological development. These goals address comprehensive global challenges and offer an integrated path toward a more sustainable future. As a company, we play a crucial role in implementing these goals, as our business activities can have both positive and negative impacts on society and the environment.
To reaffirm and strengthen our commitment to sustainability, we intend to join the UN Global Compact Network Germany (UN GCD). The UN Global Compact is the world's largest initiative for sustainable corporate governance. It supports companies in strategically embedding sustainability in the areas of human rights, labor standards, environmental protection, and anti-corruption, thus actively contributing to the achievement of the SDGs. With this step, we commit to integrating the ten universal principles of the UN Global Compact and the SDGs firmly into our business strategy, corporate culture, and daily operations.
Below you will find an overview of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that serve as our guide.
ESCHA Sustainability Goals (ESGs)
At ESCHA, we consistently align our sustainability strategy with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). From this comprehensive agenda, we have specifically selected the goals that best match our corporate values and our area of influence. By focusing in this way, we can pool our resources and make a measurable contribution to a more sustainable future. Below, we present the specific SDGs on which our commitment is focused.
Gender Equality
Our efforts are aimed at gender equality. As part of our continuous development, we therefore strive for a higher percentage of women in management positions, while always selecting the most suitable candidate.
Clean Water and Sanitation
Some of our customized products are used in water treatment plants and ensure high functional quality, availability of the systems, and thus a secure supply of clean drinking water and functioning sanitation facilities.
Affordable and Clean Energy
With our products for renewable energy, we actively promote access to sustainable and modern forms of energy and thus contribute to increasing their share of globally available renewable energy.
Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure
With our expertise in connector and housing technology, we strengthen global networking in the future-oriented fields of Transportation, Renewables, Power, and mobile Automation. In this way, we enable modern communication and sustainable industrial processes.
Significant Reduction of Waste Generation by 2030
A central pillar of our sustainability strategy is the responsible use of resources. We rely on consistent waste separation and the maximum recycling of materials. We already recycle nearly 100% of the main recyclable materials generated at ESCHA—wood, plastics, and foils.
Climate Action
Our commitment to climate protection is based on two pillars. First: With our products, we accelerate the expansion of renewable energies and thus enable a sustainable energy transition. Second: We are consistently working with a concrete action plan to systematically reduce our own CO₂ footprint.
