Solutions for all wiring levels
Trains are divided into five wiring levels. The Ethernet-Train-Backbone uses connectors with high transmission rates up to 10GBit/s according to Cat6A. For the Ethernet-Consist-Network, components with lower data rates of up to 100MBits/s according to Cat5e are sufficient. The third level consists of standard sensor-/actuator wiring for e.g. door systems. The fourth level consists of valve connectors with general rail approval meeting the high security standards according to DIN EN 45545-2 (fire performance) and DIN EN 50155 (shock, vibration and mechanical stresses). In the fifth level, power connectors are used to ensure the power supply.

Compact and field-wireable
Field-wireable connectors can be used wherever a high degree of flexibility is required. Initially unknown cable-lengths or panel-feed-throughs are perfect examples. ESCHA offers the most compact field-wireable M12-connectors for rail applications. The 4-pole connectors with A-coding (sensor/actuator) or D-coding (ECN) are a little bit taller than 40mm and meet the important DIN EN 45545-2 and DIN EN 50155 standards. Thanks to their low weight and compact housing-style, they are the perfect solution for railway applications with minimum installation space.

Individual harnesses
Despite serial production we offer customer-specific cable lengths. Upon request we deliver pooled harnesses with markings to facilitate the installation of our cables and to accelerate production sequences on customer side.
ESCHA test lab
All necessary tests to guarantee a safe and reliable use of our products in bus- and rail applications are carried out and documented in the ESCHA test lab. This includes IP-tests for highest protection classes, customer-specific shock- and vibration requirements as well as application related climatic tests and temperature shocks. Furthermore, we have our own high-frequency lab and cooperate with accredited test labs, as required.
